HI NO TORI ROSÉ OF CABERNET SAUVIGNON
HI NO TORI ROSÉ OF CABERNET SAUVIGNON
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Notes of raspberry, stone fruit, rose petals, and subtle herbal accents on the nose. The palate is full of bright red fruit, citrus zest, and a chalky minerality. The richness of the texture and mid-palate is supported by refreshing acidity through the finish. This a versatile wine that can complement a wide range of foods including spring vegetables, salmon, shellfish, and roast chicken or pork.
THE STORY
Japanese for “Bird of Fire”, this is the wine that started it all. The origami phoenix on the label symbolizes our birth from the 2017 wildfires, just months after our family came to the Napa Valley. In Japan, folding 1,000 origami cranes is a form of prayer during illness or natural disaster. In the spirit of rebirth and resilience, every year we have donated the proceeds from this wine to fire relief efforts in our community.

HI NO TORI CABERNET SAUVIGNON
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Beautiful Damson plum and blackberry fruits accented by earthy black tea and cigar box lead into a juicy and lip-smacking palate, with silky tannins and a refreshing finish of cedar and red cherry.
THE STORY
Made from grapes harvested after the 2017 wildfires, this wine truly embodies the eternal spirit of the phoenix that adorns the label. This challenging first vintage has resulted in a beautiful wine. Proceeds from the sale of this wine benefit the California Firefighters Endowment, providing scholarships to the children of fallen firefighters.
AKI NO MORI CHARDONNAY
AKI NO MORI CHARDONNAY
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
This classical Chardonnay shows depth and sumptuousness but is balanced with focus and restraint. Notes of lemon verbena, chamomile, and yellow peach on the nose, and flavors of lemon curd and bright green apple on the palate, elegantly transition into a bright and salty umami finish.
THE STORY
Japanese for “The Forest in Fall”, Aki No Mori embodies the connection we feel between Japan and Napa. When Azumi first came to the Napa Valley during harvest season, she was instantly reminded of the autumn colors of her home in Japan. The origami foxes represent Azumi and her beloved Pomeranian, Kiki. Although she is a native of Japan, Azumi doesn’t drink sake. She challenged Steve to create a wine to rival sake as a pairing with sushi and other Asian food, a challenge he eagerly embraced.
MIZU NO OTO PINOT NOIR
MIZU NO OTO PINOT NOIR
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
The wonderfully perfumed nose is bold and exciting, with raspberry, blood orange, wild strawberry, and forest floor. The palate is vibrant yet opulent, with silky tannins, ripe bramble berries, and a meaty depth that begs to be paired with food.
THE STORY
Japanese for “The Sound of Water”, Mizu No Oto Pinot Noir is truly a food lover’s wine. Inspired by our love for wines from the Sonoma Coast, the koi fish represents the calm beauty of the sea. We envision this as a wine for intimate, almost meditative moments.
HIKARI NO HANA RED WINE
HIKARI NO HANA RED WINE
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
This red wine expresses the traditional marriage of the Bordeaux varieties. Soft and full like a new blossom, fresh mint mingles with lofty red fruits, Bing cherry, and black plum. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon for power and complexity, Cabernet Franc for finesse, and Merlot for softness.
THE STORY
Japanese for “Flowers of Light”, this wine represents our closeness to our loved ones, even when we may be far apart. Cranes and plum blossoms adorn the label, symbolizing health, new beginnings, and good fortune.

TSUCHI NO KOE ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
TSUCHI NO KOE ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
This single vineyard Meadowbrook Farm Cabernet Sauvignon underwent multiple harvests to reap the greatest complexity and expression of terroir. A pas de deux of fruity and savory flavors dances across the palate. Focused red cherry, raspberry, and red plum contrast black tea, black olive, cedar box, and tobacco. Balanced, firm structure underlies a complete beginning, middle, and end.
THE STORY
Japanese for “Voice of the Land”, Tsuchi No Koe represents our reverence for nature. The mythical kirin emblazoned on the bottle stands as a guardian of the earth, signifying peace, prosperity, and a bountiful harvest. These fierce-looking yet gentle creatures are said to only appear before those with a kind heart, making them a popular symbol of benevolent leaders throughout history.
FUYU NO TSUKI CABERNET SAUVIGNON DESSERT WINE
FUYU NO TSUKI CABERNET SAUVIGNON DESSERT WINE
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Concentrated fruits with notes of currants and dried cherries. Black pepper, herbes de provence, and molasses. Full bodied and mouth coating. The luscious sweetness is balanced by acidity and grippy tannins. Delicious and approachable now, but this wine will reward cellaring and develop greater complexity with time in bottle.
THE STORY
Japanese for “Winter’s Moon”, this wine pays homage to Asian folk tales that say a rabbit can be seen in the full moon. This rabbit was granted immortality for his selflessness and spends his time making the elixir of life in some versions and sweet treats in others. This wine was released during lunar new year to commemorate the year of the rabbit, promising a year of hope and prosperity.
